On Fire

This family drama about an arson investigator who's angry at having to take early retirement (hence the awful pun of the title) is saved only by the convincing performances of John Forsythe - miles from Dynasty - and Carroll Baker - light years from Baby Doll - as his wife, both of whom make the couple's frustrations eminently believable. A better script? A stronger director? Hey, it's a TV movie, and it does its clearly defined job well enough.
