Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

It's impossible to fathom what the singer Meat Loaf hoped to achieve by starring in this goofy children's tale. He plays a big game hunter whose expedition to the Himalayas results in the discovery that the yeti is, in fact, a cuddly pet with the killing capacity of a Care Bear. Naturally, the little fella gets transported to New York and is befriended by the kind of small child yetis can't resist being found by. This is all harmless fun, with the snowman puppets anything but abominable. But could the man who sang Bat out of Hell really be outwitted by a frozen Mogwai?
