Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

A terrifying tale of sluts and bolts! Cult director Frank Henenlotter (of Basket Case notoriety) sewed together one of his best lampoons with this madcap gore parody revealing his usual bad taste and warped sense of humour. Mad inventor James Lorinz accidentally chops up his girlfriend in a power lawnmower accident, saves her head and finds body parts to remake her from prostitutes addicted to the supercrack drug he's developed. Although paying nifty homage to the bizarre sexy shockers of Spanish director Jesus Franco, and deliberately pushing cartoon violence to the limit, Henenlotter's trump card is Lorinz, who turns in a charismatic central performance laden with wit and pathos.
