Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

A rocket-ship crew returning from an interplanetary mission is menaced by a blood-drinking reptilian stowaway in this low-budget classic from science fiction's golden age. If the plot sounds familiar, it's because Edward L Cahn's briskly directed shocker is frequently cited as the blueprint for Ridley Scott's Alien. Ray "Crash" Corrigan wears the scaly rubber suit as the Martian monster, ably menacing Marshall Thompson and his fellow astronauts in a 1950s relic that still delivers some decent scares.
