Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

A 72-minute drama whose content covers the events of a night in a maternity ward. Among other mothers-about-to-be is lovely Loretta Young, as a woman serving a life sentence for murder. However it's excellent character actress Aline MacMahon as the head nurse, both controlling and compassionate, who holds the rather fragmentary action together. Directed by James Flood, this is a respectable little film, but one that leans towards the downbeat. Suave Gilbert Roland and spunky Glenda Farrell, both generally associated with more lively material, are in the supporting cast.
