Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

Sharing a title (but not much else) with the classic 1945 Ealing horror anthology, this is the tale of a lovelorn vampire searching for his dead spouse and leaving a trail of victims in his wake. It's directed by Kristoffer Tabori, the son of legendary film director Don Siegel and actress Viveca Lindfors. Tabori had uncredited roles in the Clint Eastwood/Siegel collaborations Dirty Harry and Coogan's Bluff as well as numerous TV series, before he embarked on a directing career in the 1990s. Sadly, Tabori falls a long way short of his father's achievements in a disappointing horror outing, though genre fans should look out for Bride of Re-Animator's Kathleen Kinmont in the less-than-stellar cast.
