Workaholic Kevin goes home with the beautiful train-wreck Madeline for a drunken one night stand, but he's horrified to discover she's actually his boss' jilted ex-mistress.
This screwball comedy is set over one night, where beleaguered office worker Kevin (Adam Pally) must keep his boss's ex-mistress Madeline (Rosa Salazar) awake after she overdoses on sleeping pills. A different kind of romantic comedy is on the cards thanks to the wacky and slightly dark set-up. With believable stakes and a witty script, it's fun to watch Kevin try to keep himself and Madeline from making a fatal mistake, and the pair make for a charming double act. While the action is mostly shared between the two, there is hilarious support from Peter Huebel as Kevin's friend and confidant, and Peter Krause as the dreaded boss. It's a shame the plot doesn't build on that momentum, as it slows down to more familiar territory before stopping just as things are getting interesting. However, at a swift 90 minutes this is a fast and funny one night stand from hell.
