Review

A star rating of 1 out of 5.

In this crass comedy of errors, Jamie Foxx plays the out-of-towner who gets caught up in a convenience store robbery after being dumped by his fiancée (Nia Long) for spending their house savings on a vintage car. It's a stereotyped affair from top to bottom, with Eduardo Yanez's Hispanic crooks and Barry Corbin's redneck cops coming in for their share of misanthropic wit. Foxx's performance here is a long, long way behind his winning turns in Collateral and Ray.
