Summary
Journey and his grandfather Marcus have to come to terms with each other's reactions to the loss when Journey's mother, Min, decides to leave Journey and his sister Cat to be looked after by their grandparents.

A sensitive family drama executive produced by Glenn Close and beautifully handled by Jason Robards and child actor Max Pomeranc. Eleven-year-old Journey (Pomeranc) and his sister Cat are dumped with grandparents Robards and Brenda Fricker by their irresponsible mother. Together the generations combine in their struggle to reassemble their dysfunctional family. Adapted by Patricia MacLachlan from her novel, this will while away a soggy afternoon but is watchable for the performances alone.
