Review

A star rating of 1 out of 5.

King of the drive-ins Roger Corman was behind this sci-fi tale of bullets, bodies and bombs. Committed fans of the genre will adore the fast-paced action, but those looking for in-depth character development and a plausible plot will be disappointed. The story revolves around US intelligence employee Dan Jericho, adequately portrayed by C Thomas Howell, who inadvertently opens a top-secret file and instantly becomes a wanted man hunted by assassins. Fleeing to New Mexico he learns he's a cyborg marked for elimination. The bottom line is this Terminator wannabe doesn't have a big bomb in it for nothing: it serves as both a special effect and a film rating!
