A sequel to the 2017 hit film, "The Hitman's Bodyguard."
Samuel L Jackson and Ryan Reynolds are back as the feuding assassin and minder from 2017's The Hitman's Bodyguard, with the earlier film's Salma Hayek elevated from scene-stealing cameo to the thick of the action. This time the comedy and capers come from the trio being recruited against their will by Interpol to foil dastardly shipping tycoon Antonio Banderas's fiendish plan to destroy Europe's power grid. The plot is far more convoluted than it needs to be, but the wisecracks rain down from start to finish and director Patrick Hughes handles the zippy car chases, gunfights and explosions with flair. Everything hangs together without being especially memorable - with the exception of the fiery, laugh-out-loud, one-woman riot Hayek.
