Review

A star rating of 1 out of 5.

A fun B-movie concept is wasted in this abysmal sci-fi horror. Cory Monteith heads an insipid cast, playing a man who displays aggressive lupine behaviour after receiving a wolf's eyes in a transplant operation. But instead of a rip-roaring lycanthrope tale, the clumsy feature offers a dull and badly paced meditation on inner-acceptance, as the on-the-run hero finds romance with a cross-breed woman. What few action sequences there are get lost among naff shots of Monteith banging drums and an overload of slow-motion "reminiscences" of wolves in the wild, complete with grating panpipe soundtrack. A beyond-preposterous climax rounds off proceedings, though you'll need matchsticks under the eyelids to watch that far.
