No, not a reconstruction of the appalling events in Waco, Texas, involving the Branch Davidian religious sect; neither, despite the starring presence of Howard Keel, is this a musical, but a run-of-the-mill, second-rung western. While the local citizenry is being terrorised by a gang of lawless thugs, Keel - a gunslinger with a hot reputation - is cooling his heels behind bars until somebody has the bright idea that he is the man to drive out the desperados. Released for the purpose, he does what's expected of him, with glamorous Jane Russell on hand for encouragement.
