Summary

Hyman Goldberger, the president of film studio Super-Colossal Pictures, is in trouble--his major backer is threatening to stop financing his pictures. He finds a group of six wealthy individuals who may want to become investors in the studio if his disgruntled backer pulls out. Unfortunately, his bumbling runner Albert picks that day to invite six of his street musician friends to be in the film that is currently shooting at the studio, and Hyman mistakes them for the potential investors. Complications ensue.

Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

The much-loved Crazy Gang wreak their own particular brand of chaos in this breathless comedy in which they play extras who are mistaken for movie moguls and bring the production to a grinding halt. Unsurprisingly, it's Flanagan and Allen who catch the eye, but the Gang's other troublesome twosomes, Nervo and Knox and Naughton and Gold, chip in to good effect. Will Hay's regular backroom staff, writers Marriott Edgar and Val Guest, provide the ammunition, while director Marcel Varnel keeps the gags coming thick and fast. It has worn a little thin, but it's fun all the same.
