The Bumsteads are trying to leave on their vacation but one thing after another (including Radcliffe stealing their luggage) is stopping them.
Scrooge-like Mr Radcliffe (Jerome Cowan) doesn't want Dagwood (Arthur Lake) to take his annual holiday, so he hires some inept crooks to steal the Bumsteads' baggage. Contrived and tired, this 24th entry is one of the poorest in Columbia's popular series based on Chic Young's comic strip characters, with neither Arthur Lake as Dagwood nor Penny Singleton as Blondie having much to get their teeth into. It's no surprise the series was terminated two years later; the sparkle is definitely missing in this one.
