In contrast to the more personal project Sioux City (which received a belated video release as Ultimate Revenge in the UK), this is Lou Diamond Phillips's stab at a commercial genre, although it too ended up going straight to video here. He plays a sinister outsider who initially charms sex therapist Kate Vernon, then ensnares her in a twisting murder plot. Phillips casts himself well against type and it gets pretty steamy at times, but the script soon runs off the rails and the result is an all-too-average erotic thriller.
