Blue Flame

A hard-boiled detective goes on a search-and-destroy mission when two aliens kidnap his daughter, in the writing/directing debut of former William Morris agent Cassian Elwes. With its threadbare plot and terrible dialogue, this excruciating low-budget disaster is bearable only thanks to cinematographer Daniele Massaccesi's keen eye, which does at least make it visually interesting. The story apparently came to Elwes while he was high on medicinal drugs during an operation - worth bearing in mind if you're considering whether to watch this psychedelic-tinged fiasco.
