Timetable

First there's the ingenious robbery on a train, then there's the investigation by insurance man Mark Stevens and cop King Calder. A twist 25 minutes into the picture puts a new complexion on the case. As producer, director and star, Stevens tries to create an intelligent, out-of-the-rut thriller - but too many events happen off screen before the standard chase and final shoot-out in Mexico. The staging is unexceptional and Stevens's own performance is dull. However, he extracts bright work from his supporting cast, which includes Felicia Farr as one of the gang and Jack Klugman as a minor hood.
