Sunset Heights

Set in the near future, this flawed but intriguing thriller presents a nightmare vision of life in Northern Ireland. Two ruthless gangs now police their communities using fear and violence. Caught between the two is Toby Stephens, whose child is believed to be latest victim of a serial killer known as The Preacher. The gangs believe they have found the killer - but is he really guilty? The plotting is confused but there are strong performances from the cast, and director Colm Villa displays some stylish visual touches.
