Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

David Niven dons the cloak of Dracula in this long-in-the-tooth vampire comedy well past its Swinging Sixties sell-by-date. The Count, who has turned his castle into a Playboy-style tourist resort, is searching for a rare blood type donor to revive his wife Vampira. The stale gag is that she's eventually reincarnated as black babe Teresa Graves, ex-comedienne from Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. Niven adds a touch of class to the ridiculously old-fashioned proceedings and is the only reason for watching this dire farce from Clive Donner, the director of What's New, Pussycat?. The answer to that question is absolutely nothing at all.
