Summary

Principal shooting and editing was completed in 1982 on one inch video tape. When transferred to Betamax for the only private screening it ever received, there were so many technical difficulties that the movie was deemed unviewable by its creator. And because of the amount of debt already incurred by its creator the project was ultimately abandoned along with any hopes of a career in this field. The movie spent the next 34 years in basements until the creators 18 year old son convinced him to look at the movie again. After getting the movie transferred to digital the error of abandoning it was discovered and corrective transferring and editing was begun in 2017. The actors and crew who worked on this movie deserve to have it seen and with that hope it is being submitted to this Festival. I, the creator, believe this movie has a cohesive story about a man facing the failure of a life that he had slid into based on the illusion of what a life should be. Told in the Noir style it considers that style and what it might mean to someone who inhabits it as a way to hide from himself. We repaired this movie not from the original one inch video tape which was lost but from the Beta copy and all its deficiencies. I believe we have gotten it to a viewable state and hope that its excellent performances and interesting story can be appreciated.
