Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

American humorist Robert Benchley fronts this documentary about the Walt Disney studios, which takes its name from the 25-minute short that concludes the picture. Never more than a blatant plug for the studio, it encouraged the trade paper Variety to opine: "Dr Goebbels couldn't do a better propaganda job to show the workers in Disney's pen-and-ink factory as a happy and contented lot." In fact, the workers were on strike when the film was released in 1941. The demonstrations of the then up-to-date techniques, though, should interest fans and historians of animation.
