Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

In this delightful romantic comedy drama, Bryan Burke plays teenager Danny Perillo, whose hormones are telling him that his hitherto platonic relationship with his best friend Julie (Michelle Trachtenberg) should develop into something more serious. But how can he make the move from friendship to romance without spoiling everything? Enter Ralph Macchio's ghostly sax player (after a fatal accident, he's doomed to wander in limbo until he's found by his true love) who tutors Danny in the ways of courtship - 1930s style. Director Richard Friedman avoids the usual coming-of-age clichés to deliver an original and amusing take on teenage yearning.
