See Jane Date

This chatty Sex and the City wannabe begins agreeably enough, as an assistant New York book editor (played by Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel regular Charisma Carpenter) embarks on a hunt to find a suitable escort for her cousin's wedding. But after the first few men and subsequent date-dissections with her two gal pals, it's obvious that this novel-based romp isn't as sharp, witty or insightful as it should be. Instead, a litter of lame pop culture references and whingy observations on modern romance quickly wear thin, while a weak subplot about work problems proves unnecessarily distracting. Though a perky Carpenter does her best to keep the loose narrative skipping along, there's ultimately insufficient material to sustain the feature beyond its playful opening act.
