Review

A star rating of 4 out of 5.

In this taut medical thriller, faithfully adapted from Robin Cook's bestseller by doctor-turned-novelist Michael Crichton, Geneviève Bujold's medic suspects foul play when patients start dying unexpectedly in her hospital. The ER/Jurassic Park creator also directs and expertly turns the suspense screws in the gripping way that has become his trademark. It's Crichton's assured sense of creepy paranoia within the absorbing central mystery that gives an extra disturbing edge to the hospital horrors.
