Review
This sports comedy set in 1939 takes a less than serious look at the issue of racial prejudice. Billy Dee Williams and James Earl Jones are the stars of a black baseball team, who decide to set up their own club in defiance of Negro League manager Ted Ross. Needless to say the bosses don't like it and try to put the All-Stars out of business. In this crowd-pleasing mix of skill and farce, Richard Pryor almost steals the show with his unique attempts to crash the race barrier.
