Producer Sol Lesser later referred to this as a "cheap quickie", and it has the dubious distinction of being a contender for the worst Tarzan adventure ever made. Decathlon champion of the 1936 Olympics Glenn Morris co-stars with champion backstroke swimmer Eleanor Holm, but neither of them can act. The plot has Morris rescuing Holm from becoming part of a sultan's harem, and the film is directed by B-movie specialist D Ross Lederman with no style whatsoever. Holm's mother is played by Hedda Hopper, later the famous movie gossip columnist.
