Summary
Historical drama directed by Martin Scorsese, starring Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and Liam Neeson. In 1637, Jesuit missionaries Father Rodrigues and Father Garupe travel to Japan in search of their missing mentor, Father Ferreira. They gain converts along the way, but the ruling Tokugawa Shogunate has no regard for Christianity and is prepared to use brutal torture on those who will not recant.
