Review

A star rating of 1 out of 5.

Maverick Spanish film-maker Jesus Franco strikes out again with this abysmal erotic horror very loosely based on the Bram Stoker short story Dracula's Guest. The count's descendant Nadine (Soledad Miranda, who died in a car crash shortly after completing this movie) entices women via striptease dreams to her isolated Mediterranean island so she can suck their blood and live for ever. To Franco lovers, this one's a surreal melancholic poem about vampire loneliness. It will strike everyone else as nothing more than a slow, trivial and irritating slice of sleazy "Horrotica" that barely even qualifies as a home movie. What are those Franco fans on?
