Tony Kent returns home after 3 years in the Navy to find his children are strangers. After his wife is suddenly called away, Tony takes his brood to his father's windmill home where he tries to bond with Peter, Anne and Fusty.
Left to cope with three unruly children during his wife's absence in Canada, naval officer Kenneth More takes his offspring to his father's converted windmill and institutes a strictly ordered regime. Inevitably, of course, chaos ensues ... An inconsequential, one-joke comedy, kept moving by the polished More, but old-fashioned and rather flat. Mandy Miller, star of the more famous Mandy, is in it, along with Ronald Squire and Michael Bentine.
