Summary

Review
Combining plotlines from Asterix the Legionary and Asterix the Gladiator, this is another big-screen adaptation of the bestselling adventures of the indomitable Gaul and his doltish sidekick, Obelix. The American dubbing grates horribly, but the puns are as deliciously bad as ever, as the titanic twosome join the Roman army in a bid to save Panacea and her beloved, Tragicomix, from joining the bill at the Colosseum. The parodies of Spartacus and Ben-Hur should amuse casual viewers.
