One of the glories of the old studio system was that a B-western could be photographed by someone of the calibre of William H Daniels, who had been Garbo's favourite cameraman. Unfortunately, his Arizona vistas are the sole reason for enduring this unfunny attempt to parody the conventions of the genre. Director Frederick De Cordova singularly fails to invest the proceedings with any brio, but he's hindered by a below-par screenplay that recounts the battle between cussing cousins John Russell and Scott Brady for the affections of singer Yvonne De Carlo.
