This Warner Bros romp is, amazingly, based on a stage play by Pulitzer Prize-winning author George S Kaufman. There's little trace of its source as likeable Gordon MacRae, hoofer Gene Nelson and winsome Jane Powell get involved in one of those staple musical plots about raising the money to put on a show. Sam Levene and vaudevillian Jack E Leonard provide seasoned support, but basically this is a predictable mixture, pleasant but not inspiring.
