Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

The presence of the ever-dependable George C Scott lifts this made-for-TV drama. Rachael Leigh Cook is Scott's granddaughter, who had a child when she was raped at 15 by her mother's (Ally Sheedy) boyfriend. In one of those mind-boggling twists, the courts inexplicably award the custody of the child to his natural father. Scott comes to the rescue, absconding with the child. Up-and-coming talent Cook shows why she's an actress to watch, while the Oscar-winning Scott is, as ever, eminently watchable.
