10-year-old Joshua's father has a new girlfriend every 5-8 months. Joshua finds out how a mother's love feels when he meets Claudia, his father's 9th girlfriend. This relationship also ends after a few months, but Joshua's affection for her doesn't. Could she adopt him?
Melissa Gilbert stars in this sentimental TV movie about a woman who ditches her architect boyfriend only to find she can't live without his young son. Tim Matheson gives another sturdy but uninspired performance as her ruthless adversary in this emotional tug-of-war, while Lisa Eilbacher provides welcome support. It was clearly just a short leap for director Michael Pressman from this tacky but moderately stylish tosh to the big screen to make Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: the Secret of the Ooze.
