Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

Bruce Lee's breakthrough Hong Kong film may be a bit rough around the edges, but it remains an electrifying example of the martial arts master at work. The plot is fairly perfunctory: Lee plays a young man who travels to Thailand, promising to keep out of trouble, only to find himself caught up with a drugs ring. However, Lee's graceful charisma shines throughout, and director Lo Wei and fight co-ordinator Han Ying-chieh (who also plays the villain of the piece) orchestrate some stunning set pieces, most notably a fight in an ice factory. You may know this film better under its two other release titles, Fists of Fury and Tang Shan Da Xiong.
