Opposites Attract

Clint Eastwood and Sonny Bono are among the Hollywood stars who have tried their hand at civic office, and that's the theme explored in this lightweight but genial romantic comedy. Former Dynasty star John Forsythe plays a big-name actor who decides to enter local politics as a protest and finds himself pitted against Barbara Eden, with predictable consequences. The two stars are old hands when it comes to this sort of inconsequential fluff, and director Noel Nosseck supplies a bland, glossy sheen.
