Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

A worthy drama from Down Under about a woman who is forced to make radical changes to her lifestyle when she leaves her cheating husband. Helen Morse gives a dignified performance as the woman trying to make her own way in the very macho world of Australia between the wars, and Jack Thompson (who it seems had a contractual obligation to appear in every Aussie film in the 1970s) is as reliable as ever. Donald Crombie's direction, however, is uninspired.
