Review
There have been several classic boxing movies, but this is not one of them. In fact, it's a contender for the undisputed (and unwanted) title of worst pug pic ever made. Weighing in at well over his matinée idol poundage, Tony Curtis is beaten before he starts with this story of a crooked fight manager whose boxer is too dumb to take the dive that will earn them both a fortune. Saddled with a dismal script and the inadequate support of Richard Gabourie, Curtis mugs shamelessly in a desperate bid both to raise a laugh and retain his credibility.
