Our Score
A good-natured, often very funny Burt Reynolds comedy vehicle set around the world of American football. Reynolds is the star player who finds himself competing with team-mate and good pal Kris Kristofferson for the attentions of Jill Clayburgh, whose dad owns the team. Reynolds and Kristofferson exude an easy-going charm and there is some expert comic support from the likes of Richard Masur and Robert Preston, plus early outings for Brian Dennehy and Ron Silver. The humour is largely knockabout stuff, but director Michael Ritchie slips in some sly satiric jabs at the commercialisation of American sport.

An American football manager's daughter faces a difficult choice between two members of her father's team who are both trying to woo her. Comedy, starring Burt Reynolds, Kris Kristofferson, Jill Clayburgh, Burt Convy and Lotte Lenya.
