Our Score
Hollywood wasted no time in rushing this headline-making news story on to the air only five months after Ted Kaczynski was captured. This particular slice of exploitation chronicles the massive manhunt for the Unabomber, the mysterious terrorist who, over the course of 18 years, sent 16 deadly home-made bombs to university professors and business executives. Robert Hays (Airplane!) adequately conveys the emotional torment that David Kaczynski went through when he realised that his brother was the crazed bomber. Tobin Bell as Ted Kaczynski and Dean Stockwell, as a determined postal inspector, do their best for this cheap production, which ultimately offers little insight. Not quite a total bomb but still something of a dud.

Summary

Fact-based drama following the life of Ted Kaczynski, one of America's most notorious terrorists, who carried out a campaign of bombings between 1978 and 1995, and threatened further violence unless his political manifesto was published. However, his own brother would prove instrumental in bringing him to justice. Starring Robert Hays, Dean Stockwell and Tobin Bell.
