Our Score
DisneyToon Studios picks up the Pixar baton with this familiar underdog tale that is, essentially, an airborne take on Cars. The story centres on crop duster Dusty (voiced by Dane Cook), who aims to satisfy his need for speed by entering the "Wings around the Globe" race, despite the fact that he is afraid of heights. Will he conquer his fears and let his ambition take flight? The other contestants aren't convinced, branding him a hick and an upstart. Flyovers across Germany, the Himalayas and Mexico help Dusty realise who his real friends are, and the the fast-paced animated action through storms, train tunnels and canyons are sure to thrill youngsters. Older viewers will enjoy a sweet, mariachi version of Love Machine along with other in-jokes and one-liners ("Crazy like a Firefox"), while the excitement continues to build from a relatively unpromising start.
