Our Score
This is a fabulously cast and wickedly witty reworking of that much-filmed 20th Century-Fox standby, the one about the three gals seeking rich husbands, dusted off, smartened up and photographed in Fox's stunning new screen process, CinemaScope. The dazzling Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall play the girls, so who could ask for more? Well, there is more. This film was the first shot in Scope, though released after The Robe, and it's preceded by an introductory orchestral sequence specially designed to show off the wonders of the then-new magnetic stereophonic sound, with Alfred Newman conducting Street Scene.

Three women rent a luxurious New York apartment as part of a scheme to get their claws into wealthy husbands - but their plans become unstuck when all three start to fall for men with good hearts and empty pockets. Comedy, starring Betty Grable, Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall, William Powell, Cameron Mitchell, David Wayne, Rory Calhoun and Fred Clark.
