Our Score
This full-length cartoon featuring the ghost-hunting teenage detectives is something of a mixed bag. As with all of the gang's cases, the haunting turns out to be of an all-too-human nature, but the set up is quite neat, as Velma's favourite horror writer (impeccably voiced by Tim Curry) takes them to a New England town to prove that his ancestor was a benevolent witch, not a wicked one. However, the intrusion of a couple of real monsters from the local museum, some dire musical numbers from the "Hex Girls" and a ridiculously contrived ending rather spoil the fun.
