Summary

Jilted Dustin hires amoral scoundrel - and bosom buddy - Tank to be his ex-girlfriend's date from hell, in the hope she will realise the error of her ways and run back to him. However, when she begins to fall for the sham seducer's ribald humour and vulgar entreaties, he is sorely tempted to betray his best friend. Romantic comedy, starring Dane Cook, Jason Biggs, Kate Hudson and Alec Baldwin.

Review

Rating: 2 out of 5.

In this humdrum romantic comedy, Dane Cook plays Tank, a guy so good at being gross that dumped men pay him to date their exes and be so disgusting that the women run right back to them. The dull, dated and oh-so-predictable plot has the next jilted man on the list being Tank's best friend, Dustin (Jason Biggs). The object of his affection is Alexis (Kate Hudson) who has decided to give up on monogamy and enjoy life as a single girl. Surprise, surprise - when Dustin gets Tank to take Alexis out and offend her, the two of them actually end up falling for each other. This is just slick and soulless entertainment, saved only by Alec Baldwin's all-too-brief appearances as Tank's womanising father.
