Our Score
A grim-faced, past-his-prime Dana Andrews stars as a frontier scout sympathetic to the Comanches in this very routine western, allegedly based on fact. It is made interesting by the fact that it introduced glamorous South American star Linda Cristal to an English-speaking audience - she would go on to appear in The Alamo and garner small-screen fame in The High Chapparal. Look out, too, for Henry Brandon (Chief Scar in The Searchers) in the supporting cast. Incidentally, the mint American pressing of this film's soundtrack, featuring the full-colour reproduction poster on its sleeve, is now a much sought-after collectors' item.

A powerful Native American chief agrees to take part in peace talks with Washington after an encounter with a sympathetic scout. However, a group of renegade warriors are unwilling to surrender their arms and their actions prompt a bigoted government official to use brutal methods. Western, starring Dana Andrews, Kent Smith, Nestor Paiva and Henry Brandon.
