Our Score
There are some clumsily carved slices of ham in this spoof on old-time melodrama, directed by Edward Cline, former creative aide to Buster Keaton and other silent clowns. Buster makes a guest appearance in this tale of villainous landlord Alan Mowbray, who terrorises the sweet-natured Margaret Hamilton and her attractive daughter Anita Louise. Boos and hisses are encouraged but it doesn't work as it should and audiences generally sit silent and baffled. It deserves marks for trying, though.

A scheming lawyer tries to force a woman and her daughter from their home after the landlord dies. Comedy, starring Hugh Herbert and Anita Louise.
