A minor, good-natured British comedy romance that follows the adventures and love affairs of the youthful members of a Yorkshire cycling club. Future Avenger Honor Blackman is the girl whose affections are vied for by humble Patrick Holt and rich boy John McCallum, while Anthony Newley and Diana Dors play other members of the group. Among the older generation, the incomparable Thora Hird runs the club's "café". Ted Willis supplies the screenplay, Ralph Smart directs, and the whole cosy enterprise demonstrates why, with certain superior exceptions, the public preferred American films.
