Review

Rating: 3 out of 5.

The Muppet team heads into Alice in Wonderland territory here, as Jennifer Connelly casts her younger brother into the Goblin King's clutches and has only hours to rescue him from a castle maze. With plenty of fuzzball gremlins and cute sugar plum fairies to keep the children amused - and David Bowie's Tina Turner wig to tickle the adults Jim Henson's cheery panto (written by Monty Python's Terry Jones) is weak on suspense and thrills, but still entertains as firm fantasy fun. Bowie recorded five songs for the soundtrack, with Underground giving him a Top 30 hit.
