Our Score
For some reason, Theresa Russell is a much better actress under the guidance of husband Nicolas Roeg than she is with any other director. She smoulders effectively enough in this steamy thriller, but she produces none of the intensity or intelligence she's capable of. This blatant rip-off of Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train teams her with Adam Baldwin (who isn't a brother of Alec and William), but, apart from a little nookie, it adds nothing to the familiar story of murder without motives. Actor/writer/director Barry Primus plays the cop on their trail.

Summary

A man trapped in an unhappy marriage meets a woman who tells him her husband beats her. They have an affair, and she tries to persuade him that they should each kill the other's spouse, but after agreeing to the plan, he is not prepared for what he discovers. Thriller, starring Theresa Russell and Adam Baldwin.
